Then & Now: Hudson Tea Building in Hoboken

Over the past 30 year the Hoboken waterfront has gone through a massive transformation.  Shipyards and rail lines have become Hoboken luxury condos located on streets with boutique retail shopping & Starbucks. Below are photos of the Lipton Tea Factory located on the north end of Hoboken. Notice the train tracks that occupy what is now 15th St. The piers that were once in front of the building are mostly gone and have become a relic of the Hudson River.

The Hudson Tea Building Hoboken

In the late 1990’s the Lipton Tea Factory was converted into residential rental apartments and named the Hudson Tea Building. Around 2004, Toll Brothers bought the building and converted the apartments to condominiums. The loft style building features great views of NYC and also has a 24 hour concierge, on-site fitness center, & resident’s lounge.
